Briskworks

Briskworks is community-based story theater which "briskly"crafts a full theatrical work involving the creativity of many participants across a variety of themes.

History

It began in 1988...with deep community support and great publicity.

Arts in Education spotlight

Bobbi first brought together middle and high school students with adult actors and professional guest artists. They became immersed in a short rehearsal process and script writing process, including original work and excerpts from poets, novelists, songwriters, and

playwrights centered around a theme. The group then gave a public performance and a school tour.

Briskworks took off from there!

It's been used in:

• Treatment centers

• Schools

• Churches

• Community settings

• Beginner and experienced actors are welcome

• All arts, all stories are welcome
